The Israeli army attacked the eastern and southern regions of Lebanon with airstrikes and artillery fire. No official statement has been made regarding casualties or injuries in the attacks.

Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement reached with Lebanon in November 2024. According to the Lebanese official agency NNA, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the hills of the Ash-Shara neighborhood in the town of Nabi Sheet, located in the eastern mountainous region of the country.

ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON LEBANON

In the south of the country, Israeli forces fired five artillery shells towards the Marjayoun Plain in the direction of the town of Hiyam, while simultaneously opening fire with machine guns from a newly established position on Hamams Hill.

While Israeli artillery targeted the forested area near the town of Yaroun with intermittent shelling, a Merkava-type tank directly fired at a house in the Ez-Zakkak neighborhood of the town of Ayterun.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Israel launched an attack on Lebanon in October 2023, which escalated into a large-scale war in September 2024. More than 4,000 people lost their lives in the conflict, and approximately 17,000 were injured.

Despite the ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel on November 27, 2024, it was reported that Israel had violated the ceasefire thousands of times.

Israel still occupies five hills it seized in Lebanon after October 8, 2023, while also maintaining its presence in some areas it has held for decades.

The Ministry of Health announced that 331 people lost their lives and 945 were injured in the attacks carried out by Israel, which violated the ceasefire, between November 27, 2024, and November 20, 2025.
