Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem, who appeared on the program The View aired in the U.S., drew attention to the civilian deaths in Gaza and accused Israel of 'genocide.' Bardem's words, as he attempted to convey the humanitarian tragedy, were cut off during the broadcast.
The Oscar-winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem was interrupted and taken off the air during his appearance on the U.S. television program The View while trying to draw attention to the events in Gaza due to his criticisms of Israel.
The 56-year-old Bardem criticized Israel for targeting civilians in Palestine during the program. Addressing the hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines, who wore yellow ribbons in support of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza, Bardem stated, "I see your ribbons, of course, the hostages should return. But what is happening in Gaza has reached an unbearable point. Every day, along with millions of people, I suffer by watching those horrific images of children being killed, dying of hunger."
"THIS IS GENOCIDE"
Javier Bardem described Israel's military operations in Gaza as "genocide." He noted that this view aligns with statements from international lawyers, human rights advocates, and some Holocaust survivors.
Bardem stated, "The ability of Israel to continue these actions with impunity, supported by U.S. military and economic aid, and Europe's silence creates a very dangerous environment. If we do not raise our voices against this course, the disaster will grow."
