Karabük Mayor Özkan Çetinkaya was born in 1988 in Karabük. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Karabük. Çetinkaya, who graduated from the departments of Business Administration and Foreign Trade, took active roles in various non-governmental organizations during his university education from 2008 to 2012.
After his university education, Çetinkaya became involved in active politics; since 2012, he has served in the AK Party Karabük Organization as the President of the Youth Branch, a Member of the Karabük Municipal Council, the Central District Presidency, and as a Delegate to the AK Party General Headquarters Grand Congress.
Özkan Çetinkaya worked as a manager in a company that creates job opportunities and employment in various sectors. He is married and a father of two children, and he speaks English well.
