In a case of alleged prostitution and human trafficking centered around a mother and daughter in Antalya, it was claimed that women were forced to work under pressure and threats. In the case with 15 defendants, 12 are being tried in custody, and it was alleged that the earnings were collected by the daughter and that the system operated under the management of "mother by day, daughter by night."

As a result of a comprehensive investigation conducted in Antalya, a "mother-daughter" criminal organization involved in prostitution and human trafficking was uncovered. A lawsuit was filed against 15 individuals, including a mother and her daughter, on charges of "promoting prostitution, brokering, providing accommodation, and human trafficking." It was reported that 12 of the defendants are in custody.

THE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER ARE AT THE CENTER OF THE NETWORK

According to the indictment, the center of the criminal organization is 45-year-old F.Ö. and her 21-year-old daughter M.Ö. It was stated that the mother and daughter employed women in the houses they rented in different neighborhoods of Antalya and provided customers by posting advertisements under fake names on the internet. The houses were allegedly chosen from apartments where students predominantly lived and families did not prefer.

M.Ö. COLLECTED THE MONEY

According to the information in the file, 50% of the earnings obtained from the women were transferred to the network, and it was claimed that the money was mostly collected by M.Ö. In victim statements, it was described that the system was not only based on prostitution but also had a structure based on pressure and threats. Some women stated that they entered this work due to economic desperation, and when they wanted to leave, they were threatened and forced to work. Allegations included that the women were constantly "shifted" between different houses, their outings were restricted, and they were kept in a closed system.

"DURING THE DAY, THE MOTHER; AT NIGHT, THE DAUGHTER WAS THE BOSS"

S.Y., who worked in a brothel in Eskişehir, used the following striking words in her statement: "F.Ö. and M.Ö. would rent the houses as student houses. The money was collected by M.Ö. During the day, F.Ö. was the boss, and at night, M.Ö. was the boss. In the end, I escaped from all of them and fled Antalya."

THEY DID NOT ACCEPT THE CHARGES

In the details mentioned in the column of İsmail Saymaz from Halk TV, it was reported that the network had complete control over the women and that the women in the boss position played the 'victim' role against possible police raids. The mother and daughter denied the charges, claiming that they did not sell anyone and that the women worked of their own free will. It was reported that the first hearing of the case, which will be seen at the Antalya 5th High Criminal Court, will be held on March 9.
