MHP leader Bahçeli objected to the call of terrorist leader Öcalan, stating that "It is not a balanced and accurate statement." In response to Bahçeli's remarks, Tülay Hatimoğulları, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, said, "We all saw the statement made. We are on the same page. The opening of a legal framework is important for this dialogue process."
The process that started with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's message of "Turkey without Terror" continued with the call of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan to the organization to "Lay down your arms."
"ARMS MUST BE SURRENDERED"
In a new assessment regarding the process, MHP leader Bahçeli stated, "The PKK terrorist organization and affiliated groups must immediately and unconditionally lay down their arms, and even surrender their bloody weapons to the Republic of Turkey."
BAHCELI OBJECTED TO ÖCALAN'S CALL
Referring to terrorist leader Öcalan's call, Bahçeli said, "The ceasefire statement is not a correct, balanced, or accurate statement. Because there is absolutely no existence of a moral, logical, legitimate, and legal environment that is the scene of mutual relations and struggles of equal and sovereign powers to talk about a ceasefire regime. On the contrary, every proposal to be made and every word to be said is a unilateral distraction and is futile."
RESPONSE TO BAHCELI FROM DEM PARTY
There was no delay in the response from the DEM Party to Bahçeli's call. Today, after the meeting of the delegations of the DEM Party and CHP, Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları, who appeared before the cameras, stated regarding the issue, "We all saw the statement made. We are on the same point. The opening of a legal ground is important for this dialogue process."
