With the Global Sumud Fleet organization, dozens of ships carrying supporters from over 40 countries set sail at the end of August to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza. The activists on the fleet were detained by Israel and held in prison for 3 days.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a call regarding the event yesterday. Addressing all women, Erdoğan said, "We invite not only the AK Party Women's Branch but all women. I believe that this chain formed by women along the entire coast will add a special strength to Gaza."
MERSIN
In addition to Istanbul, Silent Scream actions were held in different cities. Women gathered in the Mediterranean district of Mersin, forming a human chain by holding hands.
KILIS
Women carrying banners that read "Free Palestine" gathered in Kilis to protest the Israeli attacks.
KIRIKKALE
The protest in Kırıkkale was held in Cumhuriyet Square. Women holding hands formed a human chain.
YOZGAT
Women gathered near the bus station in Yozgat, forming a chain with Turkish and Palestinian flags. They later marched towards Cumhuriyet Square.
SİVAS
In Sivas, women gathered in front of the state hospital, holding Turkish and Palestinian flags, linking arms to form a chain and marched to Cumhuriyet Square.
TRABZON
A Silent Scream action was also held in Trabzon. The event, attended by many women, condemned Israel's attacks.
ORDU
Women gathered in Ordu, carrying banners that read "Palestine will be free" to protest the attacks.
