Addressing the technical aspects of limb lengthening surgeries, Prof. Dr. Osman Tecimel stated, "We can lengthen short bones with today's technology." However, he noted that this procedure can only be applied to the leg area and is not suitable for the spine or arms.
"I AM AGAINST SURGICAL HEIGHT INCREASE"
Stating his opposition to surgeries performed for aesthetic reasons, Tecimel emphasized, "I am against surgical height increase," asserting that such operations should be evaluated for individuals with health problems.
"WE PROVIDE LENGTHENING OF 5-8 CM IN HEIGHT INCREASE SURGERIES"
The expert pointed out that this operation has certain limits, stating, "In height increase surgeries, we provide lengthening between 5 and 8 cm." However, he noted that some patients take significant risks aiming for a 10 cm increase, highlighting, "There are patients who have increased their height by 10 cm but have non-functioning nerves."

Indicating that this operation requires a serious amount of time, Tecimel stated, "A person who undergoes height increase surgery must be prepared to lose 4.5 months," emphasizing the difficulty of the process.

Stating that these methods should be used for health purposes rather than aesthetic ones, Tecimel said, "We want height increase methods to be used for leg discrepancies."
