As the clashes between Iran and Israel, which began four days ago, continue, there is notable activity at the Kapıköy Customs Gate in Van. However, this time the intensity is more in the direction of returning to Iran rather than arrivals to Turkey.

The number of Iranian tourists entering Van remained lower than in normal times. It was noted that some visitors returned to their countries after short visits. Iranians expressed that they came to Turkey solely for tourism purposes and had no intention of permanently leaving their country.

Visitors emphasized that despite the conflict environment, a large portion of the Iranian people is loyal to their homeland, conveying the message that "the Iranian people are patriotic." Some tourists, who criticized Israel's attacks with strong words, stated that Iran has also given the necessary response.

"NO ONE LEAVES IRAN"

Tahir Lu, speaking to the IHA correspondent, stated that the situation in Iran is currently good. Expressing that just as Israel strikes Iran, Iran also strikes Israel, Lu said, "Neither America nor Israel can do anything to us. Everyone who comes here is coming to visit. No one leaves Iran. We saw lights in the evening, but those were lights leaving Iran. We are striking. We are always on the side of our country," he said.

"NO ONE IS FLEEING THEIR COUNTRY"

Another Iranian citizen stated that no one is leaving their country; on the contrary, they are returning, saying, "I live in Istanbul. Since my surroundings are there, I have to return. However, no one is fleeing their country. On the contrary, those here are returning to their hometowns. According to arrivals, departures are more frequent. I didn't expect it this way. The Iranian people love their land," he said.
