A horrifying incident occurred at Bergamo Airport in Italy. A person who entered the apron without permission jumped onto the engine of a moving passenger plane. In this terrifying event, where bystanders were unsure of what to do, the individual, who was reported to be a drug addict, tragically lost their life.
An incredible incident occurred during the takeoff maneuver of a Volotea Airlines Airbus A319, which was preparing to depart from Milan to the Asturias region of Spain.
An unidentified individual breached the security barrier and entered the runway despite all efforts by the police to stop him. The person ran towards the aircraft at high speed and threw himself into the left engine of the plane preparing for takeoff. Those horrifying moments were captured by nearby security cameras.
"DO NOT LOOK OUTSIDE"
A passenger on the plane described the moment of the incident: "Suddenly, we heard a sound like an explosion. Passengers looking out the window were horrified, some covered their heads with their hands. The cabin crew immediately warned us, saying, 'Do not look outside, there is something you do not want to see.'" The captain announced that a very serious situation had occurred and that the flight was canceled.
A WITNESS DESCRIBED THE MOMENTS
One of the witnesses of the incident said, "I saw everything while boarding another plane. The staff tried to stop the man but failed. The man jumped directly into the engine. It was something I never want to see in my life."
HE WAS A DRUG ADDICT
After the incident, the Bergamo police and the prosecutor's office launched an investigation. According to initial findings, it was determined that the deceased individual had a criminal record due to substance use.
