Images have emerged showing the moments when the 17-year-old suspect, who stabbed his girlfriend and then killed her mother by striking her on the head with a hard object, entered the house in Esenyurt. The footage captures him waiting in front of the house for a while, and then entering after speaking with his girlfriend's mother.
A brutal incident occurred yesterday around 19:30 in the Süleymaniye neighborhood of Esenyurt district in Istanbul. According to allegations, 17-year-old Hasan E. came to see M.N.G. (17), who is claimed to be his girlfriend, at the apartment located in the basement of a 5-story building on 740th Street. A dispute broke out between the two for reasons that are still unknown. The argument quickly escalated into a fight.
HE STABBED HIS GIRLFRIEND AND KILLED HIS MOTHER
Hasan E. first stabbed his girlfriend M.N.G. during their argument. He then struck his mother Sevda G. (49) on the head with a hard object. While the suspect Hasan E. fled the scene, neighbors who heard the commotion reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon arrival, health and police teams determined that mother Sevda G. had lost her life, while the seriously injured M.N.G. was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the first intervention by health teams. The body of mother Sevda G. was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for an autopsy after the prosecutor's examination.
SUSPECT ARRESTED
As part of the investigations, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. The suspect's statement procedures at the police station are ongoing.
FOOTAGE EMERGED
Meanwhile, the incident was captured on security cameras. The footage shows suspect Hasan E. entering the building, waiting in front of the house for a while, then speaking with his mother for some time before entering the house, and later M.N.G. arriving at the house.
