Duygu Can Sarıtaş, who lost her spouse and child, played a voice recording sent by her 13-year-old son before his death at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Zeliha Saraç, the Ekol TV presenter who reported the news to those watching, mentioned that she also has a 16-year-old son and could not hold back her tears.
The Turkish Grand National Assembly's Investigation Commission on the Hotel Fire at Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort listened to the relatives of those who died in the tragedy. Duygu Can Sarıtaş, who lost her husband and child in the incident where 78 people lost their lives, played a voice message sent to her just minutes before her 13-year-old son died, in which he said, "Mom, I love you very much." The grieving mother stated, "My child knew he was going to die. As a mother, I had to say this: I wish he hadn't woken up, I wish he hadn't been scared."
"DON'T CRY, THE GOVERNOR IS SAD"
Mother Sarıtaş, who mentioned that someone came to her while she was crying and said, "Don't cry, the governor is sad," expressed, "I lost the children I dedicated my life to. At that moment, I realized that we were alone there."

The mother's words brought emotional moments to the commission members and everyone present in the room. It was observed that many of the parliamentarians could not hold back their tears while listening to the voice message.
