Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, who participated in the sit-in held every Saturday by the "Saturday Mothers" since May 27, 1995, stated, "If we can succeed in this process, we believe that we can meet the rightful demands of our mothers."
Co-Chair of the DEM Party, Tuncer Bakırhan, supported the sit-in organized by the "Saturday Mothers," formed by relatives of the missing, in Beyoğlu.
Speaking at the sit-in held by the group members every Saturday since May 27, 1995, Bakırhan stated that they have also voiced the demands of the "Saturday Mothers" for years. He noted that they will continue to support them until their issues are resolved, saying, "If we can bring this process to success, we believe we can meet the rightful demands of our mothers. We will continue our struggle for the truths to be revealed and confronted, not only in the Parliament but also in the streets and in every area of life, together with all our friends."
"PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED WITH THE NEW PROCESS"
DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan also expressed her support for the struggle for justice and truth given by the "Saturday Mothers" in Galatasaray Square. Buldan stated that with the initiation of the new process, all existing problems could be resolved, and social peace could be achieved, emphasizing that this is necessary for real peace.
