In the region known as the "death curve" in the Mut district of Mersin, a foreign-registered truck overturned while trying to navigate the curve. The truck was wrecked, and the driver, who was thrown out of the front window, lost his life.

A terrible accident occurred around 03:00 in the area known as the "death curve" within the borders of Burunköy Neighborhood on the Mut-Karaman highway in Mersin. According to the information obtained; the truck with foreign license plate SA 790, driven by Alparslan Selçuk, lost control of the curve, crashed into the hillside, and overturned.

DRIVER EJECTED FROM THE WINDSHIELD DIED

The driver, who was ejected from the front windshield, died at the scene. Upon notification from other drivers who witnessed the accident, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. With the efforts of the tow truck and fire brigade teams, Selçuk's lifeless body was reached between the vehicle and the hillside. After the examination, the body was taken to the morgue of Mut State Hospital. It was noted that fatal and injury-causing accidents occur every year in the area where the curve is located.
