In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was noted that "Our Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan and our Group Deputy Chairpersons Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit and Sezai Temelli formed our delegation that visited the Future Party. In the meeting with the Future Party's Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu and his accompanying delegation, a comprehensive exchange of ideas was held regarding the issues on Turkey and the regional agenda. During the visit, which took place in a highly constructive atmosphere, the democratic process in Turkey, the recent meeting of our İmralı Delegation with Abdullah Öcalan, and the congress decisions announced by the PKK on May 12 were discussed. Additionally, the importance of deepening inter-party dialogue and evaluating the steps that need to be taken towards peace and resolution within the framework of the Parliament was emphasized. It was highlighted that the establishment of a fully authorized commission within the TBMM and adopting a method that will actively involve political parties in this process is of critical importance. In the context of our political consultations, we will continue our meetings next week with both our component parties and alliance forces, as well as with the AK Party and MHP," it was stated.
