The Küçük Göl, which completely dried up due to drought since 2022 in the Kulu district of Konya, has started to retain water again due to the recent heavy rains. It has been reported that the lake's fullness rate has reached 40 percent.
After the drought experienced in the Kulu district of Konya, the Küçük Göl, which completely dried up in 2022, has started to return to its former days following the effective rains in the region.
COMPLETELY DRIED UP 4 YEARS AGO
Located 5 kilometers east of the district, northwest of Tuz Gölü, Küçük Göl completely dried up 4 years ago due to the dry seasons in recent years and the decrease in groundwater.
STARTED TO HOLD WATER AGAIN
Recently, the lake has started to hold water again after the heavy rains in the region. It is estimated that the current water level of Küçük Göl, which is located on the migratory routes of birds and is an important observation point for birdwatchers, has reached around 40%.
