In his latest statement on the matter, Trump said, "We are also working on some issues regarding Syria with President (Recep Tayyip) Erdoğan, and in the meantime, we will need to make a decision regarding sanctions. We could lift the sanctions on Syria because we want to give them a chance for a new beginning."
