President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the Presidential Complex. The meeting will address the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, as well as Turkey's efforts.
President Erdoğan's intense diplomatic traffic continues. Erdoğan received NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte ahead of the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers planned to be held in Antalya on May 14-15.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was also present at the reception at the Presidential Complex.
RUSSIA-UKRAINE PEACE PROCESS WILL BE DISCUSSED
The meeting, where regional issues will be evaluated, will focus on the peace process between Russia and Ukraine and Turkey's efforts.
This meeting, which will take place after Russian leader Vladimir Putin suggested Istanbul as a venue for the resumption of direct peace talks with Ukraine that were cut off in 2022, is also critical in terms of timing.
After this reception, President Erdoğan will chair the Defense Industry Executive Committee Meeting.
