Traffic density increased in the Kocaeli and Sakarya sections of the Anatolian Highway.
On the last day of the holiday, those hitting the roads caused congestion at the exits of tourist districts. In Marmaris, the vehicle queue reached 7 kilometers.
In Kırıkkale, which is located at the road connection point of 43 provinces and is known as a "key junction," vehicle density was particularly noticeable on the Kırıkkale-Ankara D200 highway.
While the congestion was also captured from the air, safety and gendarmerie teams were deployed at the junctions to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. While the teams continued their inspections at the application points, they warned drivers to comply with traffic rules.
Traffic congestion is expected to increase and remain effective until late at night.
RETURN TRAFFIC BEGAN IN BODRUM
As traffic density in the megacity is expected to increase towards the evening hours, holidaymakers returning home created congestion at the exit of Bodrum. Holidaymakers began to leave the district from the morning hours.
MORE THAN 15,000 VEHICLES HAVE EXITED
While vehicle density was observed at the Gümbet Junction towards Bodrum-Milas, traffic also formed at certain points in the city. It was reported that more than 15,000 vehicles exited the district in the last 24 hours.
7 KILOMETER QUEUE IN MARMARIS

While long vehicle queues formed in the region, drivers occasionally had difficulty moving forward.
Kocaeli CROSSING HAS INTENSIFIED
Due to those returning from the Eid al-Adha holiday, traffic density increased on the Kocaeli and Sakarya sections of the Anatolian Highway towards Istanbul. On the last day of the holiday, the smooth density that started towards Istanbul continues as holidaymakers begin their return.
Due to occasional slowdowns in traffic towards Istanbul, the congestion is effective from the Kandıra Toll Booth exit to the Bekirdere Ramp, Gültepe, and Korutepe tunnel exits. Traffic continues smoothly on the D-100 highway towards Istanbul at the Derince area. The smooth density continues on the Sakarya crossing of the highway towards Istanbul in the Hendek, Akyazı, and Arifiye sections. However, due to the increasing density at the Sapanca crossing, traffic occasionally comes to a standstill.
TRAFFIC IS SMOOTH IN BOLU
On the last day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, there has been no congestion so far on the Bolu crossing of the Anatolian Highway. Due to the short duration of the holiday and the spread of returns over several days, no negative situations are expected in traffic at the Bolu crossing. Transportation is being carried out smoothly along the route.
DENSITY IS INCREASING IN TEKİRDAĞ
As those who spent the Eid al-Adha holiday in their hometowns or holiday resorts began their return, smooth traffic density formed in Tekirdağ. On the return route, especially on the Tekirdağ-Istanbul highway, congestion occasionally occurred in the Yenice, Yeniçiftlik, Beyazköy, and Marmaraereğlisi areas. Police and gendarmerie teams, who continue their efforts to ensure smooth transportation, warned drivers about excessive speed, following distance, and improper overtaking. The density on the highway is expected to continue throughout the day.
