As the US deploys a large number of fighter jets and tankers to its bases in Europe and the Middle East, this unusual activity has caused concern around the world. The US media suggests that an attack on Iran will begin on Saturday. The Iranian government announced that it is conducting military exercises based on various scenarios in response to the possibility of an attack.
The United States deployed a large number of fighter jets, tankers, and intelligence assets to air bases in Europe and the Middle East immediately after nuclear negotiations with Iran; this movement further increased tensions in the region.
FIGHTER JETS HEADED TO THE REGION
According to American sources, in the last 48 hours, F-22 and F-35 fighter jets taking off from bases in the UK and the US in Europe, accompanied by tanker aircraft conducting air refueling, headed to the region.
F-22s HAVE ARRIVED IN THE UK
It was observed that 18 F-35 aircraft moved with tankers from the RAF Lakenheath base in the UK, while F-22 aircraft from Joint Base Langley-Eustis in the US reached the UK.
It was reported that the signal intelligence aircraft RC-135 Rivet Joint stationed at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and P-8 Poseidon maritime surveillance aircraft patrolling over the Mediterranean were also on duty.
PREPARATIONS CONTINUE
The US administration's military deployments indicate preparation for a possible attack or nuclear activities by Iran. The Iranian side also announced that it responded with exercises and defensive measures around the Strait of Hormuz.
THEY ARE IN COORDINATION WITH NATO
On the other hand, it is assessed that naval assets such as the "USS Abraham Lincoln" aircraft carrier deployed to the region are in coordination with NATO and other allies, and that Washington is increasing both deterrence and operational readiness.
