The parents of Oğuz Murat Aci, who was killed in an accident caused by 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur driving without a license, have filed a lawsuit for "establishing personal relations with the child," claiming that their daughter-in-law, Şükriye Aci, has not allowed them to see their grandchildren. In the petition submitted to the court, it was stated, "We request that the child be allowed to meet with their grandfather and grandmother."

On March 1, 2024, in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul, 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur crashed into three parked ATV-type vehicles on the roadside due to a breakdown while driving without a license. As a result of the accident, 29-year-old Oğuz Murat Aci lost his life, and other individuals present were injured. While the investigation into the incident is ongoing, Oğuz Murat Aci's father, Özer Aci, and mother, Pervin Aci, filed a lawsuit in the Istanbul Family Court against their daughter-in-law Şükriye Aci, who recently withdrew her complaint on the grounds that her material and moral damages were compensated, claiming that she did not show their 2-year-old grandchild to them.

"MOTHER HAS ANNOUNCED THAT SHE WILL NOT ALLOW THE CHILD TO MEET"

In the petition submitted to the court through their lawyer, it was stated, "Our clients' son, Oğuz Murat Aci, lost his life in the traffic accident. Oğuz Murat Aci was previously married to Şükriye Aci, and the couple has a child named 'Pars' from this marriage. After the death incident, daughter-in-law Şükriye Aci has had meetings with the relatives of the suspect Timur Cihantimur, who caused her husband's death. She withdrew her complaint for money. Until now, all their needs have been met by our clients. As a result of subsequent events, Şükriye Aci has clearly announced in interviews she conducted with news sites that she will not allow the child to meet with his grandmother and grandfather," it was stated.

"WE WANT HIM TO STAY ONE NIGHT A WEEK"

In the petition, it was stated that Özer Aci and Pervin Aci's inability to see their grandchild is an unacceptable situation. "Therefore, considering that their grandchild is in a psychological development process due to his age, we request that the child be allowed to meet with his grandfather and grandmother on days and times to be determined by the court. We request that a personal relationship be established with our clients and their little grandchild 'Pars' at least one night a week, during religious and official holidays, as well as during semester and summer vacations," the petition stated.
