The regulation concerning millions of civil servants has been published in the Official Gazette. The meal allowances for civil servants for the year 2026 have been determined. This year, civil servants will be charged between 12.86 TL and 52.46 TL, while contracted personnel will be charged between 15.65 TL and 62.71 TL for lunch.
The Regulation on Food Assistance for Civil Servants prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has been published in the Official Gazette. With this regulation, the principles regarding the minimum meal fees to be charged to civil servants and contracted personnel benefiting from lunch service in 2026 have been determined.
Accordingly, the expenses required for food assistance will be covered by the allocations placed in the institutional budgets, not exceeding two-thirds of the meal costs for Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, and half for other provinces. The portion of the meal fee that cannot be covered by the budget will be collected from the personnel.
MAXIMUM FEE 62.71 LIRA
From January 15, 2026, to January 14, 2027, a fee between 12.86 lira and 52.46 lira will be charged to civil servants benefiting from lunch service. Contracted personnel will also pay a lunch fee between 15.65 lira and 62.71 lira, depending on their salary.
FEE DETERMINED ACCORDING TO THE INDICATORS OF CIVIL SERVANTS
In this context, the daily lunch fee will be collected as follows: 12.86 TL from civil servants with additional indicators up to 600 (including 600), 21.86 TL from those with additional indicators up to 1700 (including 1700), 27.16 TL from those with additional indicators up to 2800 (including 2800), 35.19 TL from those with additional indicators up to 4200 (including 4200), 46.86 TL from those with additional indicators up to 5400 (including 5400), and 52.46 TL from those with additional indicators higher than 5400.
MEAL FEES FOR CONTRACTED PERSONNEL
From contracted personnel, a daily meal fee of 15.65 TL will be charged for those with a gross monthly contract fee of up to 34,135 lira (including this amount), 27.16 TL for those with a gross monthly contract fee of up to 57,620 lira (including 57,620 lira), 49.28 TL for those with a gross monthly contract fee of up to 79,600 lira (including 79,600 lira), and 62.71 TL for those with a gross monthly contract fee above 79,600 lira.
