The Ministry of Trade announced new products that pose health risks to the public through the "Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS)." It was decided to ban the market release of a soft toy (Slime) added to the list and to recall it from the market.
DETECTION OF TOXIC SUBSTANCES IN TOYS
Laboratory analyses conducted on the slime belonging to the "Baba" brand revealed toxic heavy metals (Arsenic, boron, lead). The detection of chemicals that particularly threaten children's health alarmed parents and consumer groups.
RECALLED FROM THE MARKET
The Ministry decided to ban the market release of the toy that carries chemical risks and to recall it. The Ministry stated that the decision was made in accordance with the regulations on "Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, Toy Safety Regulation."
