In 2025, 328,936 conscripts were enlisted, while 101,212 individuals applied for paid military service and 5,890 individuals applied for military service through foreign currency. The 26 billion 205 million 696 thousand 360 lira obtained from paid military service and the 33 million 757 thousand 242 euros generated from military service through foreign currency were recorded as revenue for the Treasury.
According to the information compiled from the presentation booklet regarding the 2026 budget of the Ministry of National Defense in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Planning and Budget Commission, following the Military Recruitment Law, which was published in the Official Gazette on June 26, 2019, a total of 3 million 814 thousand 45 people were subjected to military service.
THIS YEAR 101,212 APPLICATIONS FOR PAID MILITARY SERVICE
This year, 328 thousand 936 conscripts were called to duty, of which 101 thousand 212 applied for paid military service and 5 thousand 890 applied for military service with foreign currency.
