A nurse who was seriously injured after being hit by another vehicle while trying to help the injured in a chain collision caused by a truck attempting to make a 'U' turn on the Gaziantep-Şanlıurfa Highway has lost her life after an 11-day battle for survival in the hospital.
A nurse who was seriously injured after being hit by another vehicle while trying to help the injured in a chain reaction accident caused by a truck attempting a 'U' turn has died.
The accident occurred on January 30 on the Gaziantep-Shanlıurfa Highway in the direction of Nizip. According to reports, the truck driven by İbrahim Acen Baba (60), which was attempting a 'U' turn despite it being prohibited, was left stranded in the middle of the road.
2 PEOPLE HAD DIED
The driver, who got out of the vehicle stranded in the middle of the road, tried to warn other vehicles on the highway, which was under heavy fog and rain, when one of the vehicles coming from the highway hit the truck driver, and subsequently, 7 more vehicles were involved in the accident. In the chain reaction accident, truck driver İbrahim Acen Baba and Ali İhsan Akdağ (56), who was in one of the vehicles involved in the accident, lost their lives, and 11 people were injured.

Nurse Hüsniye Sevli, who worked at Gaziantep Abdulkadir Yüksel State Hospital, was seriously injured after being hit by another vehicle while trying to help the injured in the horrific accident.
LOST HER 11-DAY FIGHT FOR LIFE
The young healthcare worker could not be saved despite all the interventions at Gaziantep City Hospital, where she was treated, and lost her life after an 11-day battle for survival. The young healthcare worker's funeral was held for her final journey in her hometown of Şanlıurfa.
