The elderly woman was saved at the last moment from being defrauded thanks to the timely intervention of the police teams.

THEY ASKED FOR THE ELDERLY WOMAN'S HOUSE AND ALL HER MONEY
According to the information obtained; two people who called an elderly woman named E.G. living in Ayvalık introduced themselves as chief inspector and prosecutor. The fraudsters, who demanded the elderly woman to sell her house, said they would take cash during the sale and conduct a fingerprint study.
THE ELDERLY WOMAN WAS RIGHT TO BE SUSPICIOUS
When the elderly woman became suspicious of the people on the phone, she reported the situation to the teams within the Ayvalık District Police Department. The police teams, who acted immediately; under the coordination of the Ayvalık Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, took precautions around E.G.'s house and started technical surveillance.
"YAVUZ CHIEF INSPECTOR" CAUGHT IN THE ACT
With a controlled and planned operation by the Ayvalık police, a fraudster named N.T.K., who came to the elderly woman's house and introduced himself as "Yavuz Chief Inspector" to receive cash, was caught red-handed by the teams.
The teams of the Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau within the Ayvalık District Police Department, in their investigation, simultaneously captured the taxi driver A.İ., who was determined to have come to Ayvalık with N.T.K., and a person named B.T., who introduced himself as a prosecutor, in a successful operation.
2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After the initial interrogations at the police station, the three suspects taken into custody were brought to the Ayvalık Courthouse. It was determined that A.İ., who was identified as bringing the two suspects to Ayvalık, was operating as an illegal taxi driver. A.İ.'s illegal taxi was banned from traffic for 60 days. The individuals who introduced themselves as "Yavuz Chief Inspector" N.T.K. and B.T., who claimed to be a prosecutor, were arrested and sent to prison.
The Ayvalık District Police Department emphasized in a statement that citizens should be cautious against fraudsters who introduce themselves as prosecutors, judges, police, or ranked soldiers.
