A doctor overwhelmed by the increasing number of patients before the holiday expressed his frustration in a video he shared on social media. Citing patients who request examinations and antibiotics before going to the village, the doctor said, "I swear I’m going to lose my mind," voicing his reaction.
Before the Eid al-Adha, the increasing crowd in healthcare institutions has put some doctors in a difficult situation. One doctor expressed his discomfort with the patient overload through a video he shared on social media.
"I SWEAR I'M GOING TO LOSE MY MIND"
In the video, the doctor, who stated that he was overwhelmed by the unreasonable demands of incoming patients, reacted to his situation by saying, "One patient came, and his mother says, 'We are going to the village for the holiday, we came to get a check-up before we go, we want to get a prescription for antibiotics.' I swear I'm going to lose my mind."
SUPPORT FROM OTHER DOCTORS
The doctor's outcry quickly drew attention on social media, and many healthcare workers expressed that they have experienced similar situations, offering support to their colleague.
EXPERTS WARN
Experts emphasize that unnecessary antibiotic use threatens public health, while also pointing out that the habit of "preventive check-ups" in hospitals before the holiday burdens the healthcare system.
