A person selling the Anatolian yellow scorpion, which has a sharp venom and is prohibited for trade in Aksaray, was caught red-handed during an operation conducted by nature conservation teams. The scorpions, whose venom is valued at 10 million dollars per liter, were confiscated, and the individual was fined 60,187 Turkish lira.
Teams from the Aksaray Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, which conducts various studies related to nature and animals in Aksaray, received information about the sale of the Anatolian yellow scorpion, which is prohibited to possess, feed, collect, and trade.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Following this, the nature conservation teams began to track a person identified as Musa B. During the surveillance, Musa B., who was carrying a sharp poison and was about to sell the Anatolian yellow scorpion, which has a fatal effect on allergic individuals, children, and the elderly, to a person he was in contact with, was caught in the act by the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate. The nature conservation teams seized two Anatolian yellow scorpions, one juvenile and one young, and imposed an administrative fine of 60,187 lira on the individual under the Law on Hunting No. 4915.

In a statement made by the nature conservation teams, it was noted that the scorpion has a sharp poison, which is used in the cosmetic industry and as a raw material for antibiotics, and that the price of the poison is approximately 10 million dollars per liter.
