The prosecutor Yavuz Engin, who brought down the Newborn Gang, quoted a threatening post that said, "Every hero has an end," and responded, "I am not a hero; I am a Turkish prosecutor doing my duty. But there will never be a shortage of heroes in this country. Do not hold back in your efforts."
The public prosecutor Yavuz Engin, who brought down the Newborn Gang that was leading babies to death, has recently made headlines with his response to a post about himself on social media.
"DON'T HOLD BACK"
Quoting the threatening post that stated, "Every hero has an end. Usually, it is a painful one. We will wait and see," Engin said, "I am not a hero, I am just a Turkish prosecutor doing my duty. But there are always heroes in this country. Don't hold back."

HE WAS THREATENED IN HIS OFFICE
Prosecutor Yavuz Engin did not bow to the 'Newborn gang' that threatened him and directed the investigation by taking a video of the gang. Appointed to Istanbul in April 2024, Prosecutor Engin gave the order for the baby gang operation just 20 days after starting his duty. With his firm stance, Prosecutor Yavuz Engin gained significant attention on social media and was recognized by a large audience in a short time.
WHO IS YAVUZ ENGİN?
Prosecutor Yavuz Engin was born in Germany in 1989. Completing his education in Turkey, Engin attended Bolu 50th Year Secondary School for his primary and secondary education and graduated from Bolu İzzet Baysal Anatolian High School in 2008. In 2009, he began his university education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law and graduated in 2013. After graduation, he completed his internship at the Istanbul Bar Association and started his professional career as a candidate prosecutor in 2014. After his internship, he was appointed to the Saruhanlı Public Prosecutor's Office and began his duties there. In April 2024, Prosecutor Engin was promoted to the position of Büyükçekmece Public Prosecutor by the HSK.
