With the inflation data for the past five months, the January raise for civil servants and retirees from the Pension Fund has largely become clear. The combined effect of the inflation difference and the collective bargaining increase has resulted in a raise rate of 17.56%. The rate will be finalized with the announcement of December's inflation, and the salaries of many professional groups will increase according to the new raise.

After TÜİK announced the inflation rate for November, the salary increase that civil servants and retirees of the Social Security Institution will receive in January 2025 has largely become clear.

As a result of the five-month data covering the July–November period, the combination of the inflation difference and the collective bargaining increase has reached a rate of 17.56%. The exact increase rate will be clarified when the December inflation is announced.

HOW IS THE INCREASE CALCULATED?

The salary increase for civil servants and retirees of the Social Security Institution is determined each year based on:

  • The collective bargaining increase
  • The total of the inflation difference.

This year's five-month data has revealed a significant portion of the January increase. The rate of the December data is expected to change very little.

NEW SALARIES BY OCCUPATIONAL GROUPS

SSK AND BAĞ-KUR RETIREES

SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees have already guaranteed at least a 11.21% increase based on the five-month inflation.

THE LOWEST RETIREMENT SALARY

The lowest retirement salary, currently at 16,881 TL, will rise to 18,773 TL with the 11.21% increase.

CIVIL SERVANTS AND CIVIL SERVANT RETIREES

With the November data, the inflation difference for civil servants and civil servant retirees has become 5.91%. With the addition of the 11% increase from the collective bargaining, the cumulative increase rate has risen to 17.56%.

FINAL DATA IN DECEMBER

The exact amount of the increase that civil servants and retirees of the Social Security Institution will receive in January will be clarified with the inflation data for December announced by TÜİK. However, according to the current table, it is seen that a significant increase has been confirmed for January.
