In Nevşehir, a shepherd grazing his sheep in an empty field came across a body wrapped in a blanket. After the shepherd, frightened, moved away from the scene and reported it, the teams that arrived at the site determined that the individual had been shot and killed with a gun approximately one month ago. An investigation is underway to determine who committed the murder.
The body of a person who was shot with a gun and buried in an empty field was found by a shepherd grazing sheep in the area in Nevşehir.
The incident occurred in the Karapınar town of Acıgöl district. The shepherd, who was grazing his sheep in the sand pit area of Karapınar, first saw a blanket buried in the ground. Upon closer inspection of the blanket, the shepherd encountered a body wrapped in it. The frightened shepherd moved away from the scene and later went to the nearby sand pit to tell the workers there what he had seen. When the workers at the sand pit arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the shepherd was telling the truth and saw that there was a body wrapped in the blanket.
SHOT AND KILLED WITH A GUN 1 MONTH AGO
Upon receiving the notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The body of the person, who was determined to have been shot and killed about a month ago, was taken to the morgue of Nevşehir State Hospital for an autopsy and identification, while the investigation into who committed the murder is ongoing.

Metin Çevik, who came to the scene with the shepherd, said, "Our shepherd friend said he saw a body wrapped in a blanket with its legs exposed while grazing animals in this area. At first, we didn't believe it. When we came here with a friend and looked, we saw the body. Gendarmerie and medical teams arrived at the scene upon notification. According to initial determinations, they said it was the body of a tall man. Wild animals had torn apart some of its legs. The body had started to decompose," he stated.
