In an attack carried out by the U.S. military on a detention center in the city of Saada, Yemen, where African migrants were held, at least 30 people lost their lives, and at least 50 others were injured.
The US has added another attack to its assaults on Yemen. According to reports from Iranian-backed Houthi media outlets in Yemen, the latest target of the US bombardment was a detention center in the city of Saada, where African migrants are held.
30 PEOPLE DEAD, 50 INJURED
It was reported that at least 30 people lost their lives in the attack, and at least 50 were injured. Search and rescue operations are said to be ongoing.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) had released a written statement regarding the attacks targeting Yemen earlier in the day. The statement noted that more than 800 Houthi targets have been struck in attacks on Yemen since March 15, stating, "Hundreds of Houthi fighters, including senior officials of Houthi missile and drone units, have been killed in these attacks." The statement also mentioned, "We will continue to increase pressure and weaken Houthi capabilities as long as they continue to obstruct freedom of navigation."
