Members of a criminal organization in Bursa threatened a jeweler with a shop in the historic Grand Bazaar and demanded a 10 million euro extortion payment. Following the jeweler's complaint, an investigation was launched regarding the incident, while special operations police took precautions in the bazaar where the shop is located. Teams in bulletproof vests and armed with automatic weapons closed off entrances and exits and began patrolling the area.
In Bursa, members of a criminal organization allegedly demanded a bribe of 10 million euros from a jeweler who has a shop in the Grand Bazaar, which hosts an average of 30,000 visitors daily.
THEY THREATENED THE JEWELER
The gang members threatened the jeweler, saying they would raid his shop if he did not pay the money. Following this, the jeweler reported the incident to the police. Police teams have initiated an investigation into the incident.
AUTOMATIC ARMED TEAMS ARE PATROLLING
Special Operations Department teams have also taken precautions in the market where the jeweler's shop is located. Special operations teams, equipped with bulletproof vests and automatic weapons, have started to stand guard and patrol at the entrances and exits of the market and in crowded areas.
Teams are continuing their efforts to capture the suspects.
