FIRST STATEMENT FROM TRUMP
Trump, in a statement on his social media account, said, "We are saddened by the loss of 3 American patriots, including 2 soldiers and 1 civilian translator. Likewise, we are praying for the recovery of 3 injured soldiers, whose condition has been confirmed to be good. This was an attack by the terrorist organization ISIS in a very dangerous area of Syria, which is not fully under government control, against the U.S. and Syria."

WHAT HAPPENED?
In a previous statement from the Syrian Ministry of Interior, it was confirmed that the attack was carried out by a member of the terrorist organization ISIS at the entrance of a headquarters in the rural area of Tedmur, during a joint field inspection by the international coalition and the Syrian Internal Security command.
Syrian Ministry of Interior Spokesman Nureddin al-Baba stated that prior warnings had been given to the joint forces in the region about a possible infiltration and attack by ISIS, but despite these warnings, no precautions were taken.
The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed that 2 U.S. soldiers and 1 civilian lost their lives in the attack on the joint patrol of Syrian security forces and U.S. soldiers in the city of Tedmur, Syria, and announced that the attack was carried out by the terrorist organization ISIS.
