By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend: Deputy Chairman of the Turkish oppositional Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Yusuf Halacoglu has proposed to restore the mosque status of the Hagia Sophia museum in Istanbul, Turkish TV channel CNN Turk reported on November 8.



According to the CNN Turk, a proposal has been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to restore the mosque status of this historical monument.



It should be noted that previously Turkish Great Union Party (BBP) also made a proposal on returning the mosque status to the Hagia Sophia museum.
