200 HOUSES EVACUATED DUE TO EXPLOSIVE ALERT

In a statement from Derbyshire Police, it was announced that a search would be conducted at a house on Vulcan Street in Derby after receiving intelligence that explosives were found there. The statement noted that four of the seven streets surrounding the house were completely evacuated, while three were partially evacuated, resulting in the evacuation of approximately 200 houses.

The statement included, "Two men, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of explosives and are being questioned. An emergency has been declared in the area. Police are working in cooperation with the fire department, ambulance services, and local authorities."

It was noted in the statement that the situation is not being treated as a terrorist incident, and there is no risk to the surrounding area; the evacuations were carried out as a precautionary measure.

Residents who were evacuated were advised to prepare as if they would be outside for a day, and it was stated that the municipality has arranged accommodation.
