REQUEST FOR UP TO 30 YEARS IN PRISON FOR BARIM

In the investigation initiated against her, it was determined that Barım directed artists to participate in the protests during the Gezi Park events and was one of the planners of the incidents, leading to a request for up to 30 years in prison. Barım, who managed more than 50 famous names, was charged with "aiding and abetting an attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Ayşe Barım, who was investigated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office based on allegations in the written and visual media regarding her participation in the Gezi Park-focused events in Taksim, was arrested for "aiding and abetting an attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey."

In the investigation, it was noted that in a tape regarding a conversation between fugitive defendant Memet Ali Alabora and another person, there was an exchange of ideas about publishing a statement with artists in Gezi Park during the Gezi Park-focused events, and it was confirmed that this was implemented.

It was stated that Barım had intense communication with Osman Kavala, Çiğdem Utku Mater, and Memet Ali Alabora, who are defendants in the Gezi Park case, and that she directed the artists she managed to participate in the Gezi Park events, and that she also participated in the events with these actors.

FALSE WITNESS INVESTIGATION

On the other hand, within the scope of the investigation, actors Halit Ergenç, Bergüzar Korel, Mehmet Günsür, Ceyda Düvenci, Nejat İşler, Rıza Kocaoğlu, and Nehir Erdoğan were questioned as "witnesses."

In the referral letter sent by the prosecutor's office to the duty magistrate with a request for Ayşe Barım's arrest, it was stated that Ergenç and Kocaoğlu had contact with Alabora during the events, and despite having images of them participating together, they made statements claiming they were not in contact, leading to an additional investigation for "false witness."

ALLEGATIONS OF MONOPOLIZATION

Ayşe Barım, who is the founder and partner of ID Consulting Limited Company and also manages many famous actors, has come to the agenda with allegations of causing monopolization in the industry, and it was claimed that Barım distanced the actors who opposed her from the market.

Serenay Sarıkaya, whom Barım manages, testified as a "witness," while actor Deniz Işın and theater artist Nedim Saban also provided statements as "victims."

Additionally, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation regarding these allegations.
