In the Ermenek district of Karaman, Şerafettin Güç, who conducts research on the Karamanoğulları Principality and has published books related to the district and the principality, found 148 coins while researching in areas that define the borders of the Karamanoğulları Principality.
HE HANDED THE COINS OVER TO THE GENDARMERIE
Güç, who handed the coins over to the gendarmerie to be submitted to the museum, stated the following regarding the matter:
"On November 25, I had been conducting fieldwork for about a week on points that define the borders of the Karamanoğulları Principality. I was near the ancient city to document and photograph the areas recorded by the German cartographer Karte von Kleinasien. I documented the materials I found scattered on the ground with photos and videos. Since there was no phone signal in the area, I handed over all the images and objects to the Ermenek Gendarmerie Command with a report. I had previously informed the District Governorships about my work areas with a petition. The 148 coins, 3 rings, and 7 objects of high historical value that were secured will be sent to the Ermenek Museum Directorate for exhibition."
