The test results of singer Yusuf Güney, who testified in the drug investigation involving famous names conducted in Istanbul, have been announced by the Forensic Medicine Institution. It was stated that findings indicating the use of drugs were found in samples taken from Güney's hair.
Another significant development has occurred in the drug investigation targeting famous individuals conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
'COCAINE' DETECTED IN HAIR SAMPLES
The test results of singer Yusuf Güney, who came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on December 22 to give a statement to the prosecutor's office and had blood and hair samples taken at the Forensic Medicine Institution after his procedures, have emerged.
According to journalist Emrullah Erdinç, cocaine was detected in the samples taken from Güney's hair. The report also stated that benzoilecgonine, the main metabolite resulting from the breakdown of cocaine in the body, was present.
Experts believe that the positive result for benzoilecgonine is considered a definitive indicator of cocaine use from both scientific and legal perspectives. It has been learned that these findings obtained within the scope of the investigation have been added as evidence to the case file.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Yusuf Güney, who was called to give a statement as part of the drug investigation targeting famous individuals, had requested an extension by informing through his lawyer that he was out of town. During this process, Güney, who turned off his phone and stopped using his social media accounts, disappeared from the public eye, which also brought his previous esoteric statements about 'astral travel' back into the spotlight. On December 22, Yusuf Güney came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to give a statement to the prosecutor's office, and blood and hair samples were taken from him at the Forensic Medicine Institution after his procedures.
HE SAID "I DID NOT USE"
On the other hand, Güney had previously been connected to a lie detector during a YouTube program he appeared on and responded "Never, no" to the question, "Did you use substances during your astral travels?"
