GOVERNOR ERİN: USING MOUNTAINEERING TECHNIQUES, WE WERE ABLE TO BRING THEM HERE SAFELY AND SOUNDLY Isparta Governor Abdullah Erin, who met at the crisis center with the volunteers rescued by the teams, said, "All our colleagues demonstrated a very selfless struggle. As of today, more than 200 of our colleagues have taken part in the search and rescue efforts. They carried out a risky operation; thank God, they are all healthy. A team of 14 people had been stranded. Yesterday we rescued 3 of our colleagues safely. Last night we also had the opportunity to bring up a citizen who was caught in the flood and lost their life. We were hoping to bring them all out safely. Last night we had 10 colleagues whose location we had identified but could not reach. This morning, with helicopter support and by also deploying our drones and other aircraft, we made efforts together with our teams to reach our brothers and sisters. At times, our colleagues tried to reach there even at the risk of endangering themselves. As a result, communication was established in the afternoon. We were also able to bring our 10 stranded colleagues here safe and sound using mountaineering techniques," he said.
