In a shopping mall in Sarıyer, Melike A. (35), who was spending time with her children, had her bag, which was hanging on the stroller, stolen. The bag, containing a mobile phone, 1,400 Turkish lira in cash, and a wallet, was taken by D.T. (10), who was caught while fleeing in a taxi by the Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams. It was revealed that D.T., taken to the police station, had 92 criminal records for 'Theft'.

The incident occurred yesterday around 19:00 at a shopping mall in İstinye. According to information obtained, Melike A. noticed that her bag, hanging on the stroller while she spent time with her children at the mall, was missing. Stating that her bag contained a mobile phone worth 100,000 lira, 1,400 lira in cash, and her wallet, Melike A. reported the situation to the police and filed a complaint.

SARIYER PUBLIC ORDER POLICE CAUGHT HIM

Upon the report, Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams began examining security cameras at and around the crime scene. Through investigations, it was determined that the person who took the bag was walking around the mall, approached the stroller after a while, took the bag, and then fled in a taxi.

IT WAS REVEALED THAT THE 10-YEAR-OLD HAD 92 PRIOR RECORDS

Continuing their work, Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams stopped the taxi with license plate 34 TJV 54 that the suspect had boarded on Büyükdere Street at the TEM connection road. In checks conducted on the vehicle, D.T., identified as the one who stole the bag, was caught with the stolen items. It was learned that D.T., taken to the police station, had 92 prior records for 'Theft.' D.T. was handed over to the Sarıyer Children's Bureau for processing, while the items were returned to their owner.
