MEMUR-SEN'S WAGE INCREASE DEMAND WAS ASKED

Güler answered questions from the press after explaining the details of the draft law. Recalling that the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced April inflation as 4.18 percent monthly and 32.37 percent annually, and that Memur-Sen demanded an interim wage increase, Güler was asked, "Is there any work on your part regarding the interim wage increase?" He replied, "We currently have no work on this matter on our agenda."

"NO STUDY ON OUR AGENDA"

Güler said the following regarding the interim wage increase agenda: "Especially such fragile pricing and volatility in oil prices have created significant pressure on inflation in our country, as in the rest of the world, and caused an increase. We have always supported our employees, retirees, and other low-income and fixed-income individuals, and we will continue to do so. But I would like to state that we currently have no work on this matter on our agenda."
