Fourteen Turkish citizens who were detained by Israeli forces in the Sumud Fleet have entered Jordan by land to return to Turkey. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli stated, "Our citizens will come to our country by air from Amman, and all of our citizens who participated in the fleet will have returned to Turkey."

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Öncü Keçeli, reported that 14 Turkish citizens on board the Global Sumud Fleet vessels, which were seized by Israel, crossed into Jordan by land this morning and will return to Turkey by air from there. Keçeli shared a post regarding the matter on his X social media account.

"ALL OUR CITIZENS WILL HAVE RETURNED TO TURKEY"

In the post, Keçeli stated, "14 of our citizens on board the Global Sumud Fleet vessels seized by Israel crossed into Jordan by land this morning. They will come to our country from Amman by air, and all citizens participating in the fleet will have returned to Turkey."

480 ACTIVISTS HAD BEEN DETAINED

The activists were brought to the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan. Prison transfer vehicles carrying the activists held in Israel's Ketziot Prison made their way to the border crossing.

Israel had illegally detained 480 activists from the Global Sumud Fleet in international waters.

While 4 Italian parliamentarians were released on the first day, 36 Turkish activists and 137 activists were evacuated from Israel on a Turkish Airlines flight allocated by Turkey on Saturday. On Sunday, 29 activists were sent to Spain, and on Monday, 171 activists were sent to Greece and Slovakia.

JORDAN: 131 ACTIVISTS ENTERED THE COUNTRY

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 131 activists illegally detained in Israel's attacked Global Sumud Fleet have crossed into the country.

In a written statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that 130 activists from friendly and brotherly countries, along with one Jordanian, reached the country from the occupied West Bank via the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge.

In the statement, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sinan al-Majali, mentioned that the activists who arrived in the country are citizens of Turkey, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Pakistan, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Uruguay.

Majali stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is facilitating the arrival of the activists in cooperation with relevant institutions and shared that 2 Jordanian activists had previously returned via Turkey.

Majali expressed that coordination with embassies in Amman is ongoing for the activists who reached Jordan to return to their countries.

GLOBAL SUMUD FLEET

The Global Sumud Fleet, which set out to break Israel's blockade and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, approached the waters of Gaza on the evening of October 1.

The Israeli army, which attacked the fleet, seized 42 ships belonging to the Global Sumud Fleet and transferred hundreds of international activists detained on the ships to Ketziot Prison in southern Israel.

The Global Sumud Fleet is the largest fleet to have set out collectively to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza to date.
