The exiled son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Reza Pahlavi, has faced criticism for not making any statements regarding the Iranian girls who lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks, while he issued a condolence message for the US soldiers who died in the counterattack. Pahlavi's stance is at the center of the reactions.
The exiled son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Reza Pahlavi, did not share any messages regarding the Iranian girls who lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks, while he drew criticism for his condolence message published for the US soldiers who died in the counterattack.
150 GIRLS LOST THEIR LIVES
It was announced that the US and Israel struck the Shajarat al-Tayyiba Girls' Primary School located in southern Iran, resulting in the deaths of 150 girls. Iran, on the other hand, killed three US soldiers in the counterattack.
PUBLISHED CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FOR US SOLDIERS
In a post on his X account, Reza Pahlavi published a condolence message for the three US soldiers who lost their lives in the counterattack. In his message, Pahlavi stated,
"My heart aches for the three American heroes killed by the regime and the five injured. The Iranian people will forever be grateful to them. To the families in pain: Please accept our deepest love, condolences, and eternal gratitude."
Pahlavi's failure to make any statement regarding the deaths of Iranian girls led to criticism on social media.
PEHLEVI'S "LEADERSHIP" CALL
In a statement made after Khamenei's death, the exiled Reza Pahlavi argued that he should take charge of Iran. Pahlavi had previously called for US and Israeli intervention in Iran. In a post on his social media account, Pahlavi described Khamenei as a "bloodthirsty despot," stating, "Khamenei, the killer of tens of thousands of Iran's bravest children, has been erased from the stage of history."
