New details have emerged about the operation targeting Altınbaş Holding in the fund investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the scope of the investigation, the prosecutor's office, examining raw data and reports sent by the Capital Markets Board (SPK), detected suspicious money movements in funds affiliated with Atlas Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.
It was determined that an outflow of 16 billion liras occurred from Atlas Portföy funds within Aynus Holding—41.7 percent owned by the Altınbaş family and 58.3 percent by Nusret Altınbaş—before the fund crisis that broke out in early September.
RETURN OF 16 BILLION LIRAS DEMANDED FROM ALTINBAŞ FAMILY
Following the prosecutor's office's findings, an operation was launched against Altınbaş Holding and affiliated companies.
It was learned that the Altınbaş family has been asked to return the money in question due to the 16 billion lira fund outflow considered a suspicious transaction in the investigation.
Within the scope of the operation, the assets of Nusret Altınbaş, İnan Altınbaş, and other family members were also frozen.
NUSRET ALTINBAŞ HAS NOT YET BEEN CAUGHT
It was stated that Nusret Altınbaş, for whom a detention order was issued, has not yet been reached.
Within the scope of the operation, İnan Altınbaş and 6 people from Atlas Portföy A.Ş. were taken into custody.
It emerged that other companies linked to the Altınbaş family are also included in the investigation file.
ALNUS YATIRIM AND PİRNUS YAPI ARE ALSO IN THE FILE
When the connections of the suspects on the 31-person detention list were examined, it was learned that Alnus Yatırım Menkul Değerler and Pirnus Yapı Gayrimenkul A.Ş. are also within Aynus Holding.
Within the scope of the operation, 3 managers of Alnus Yatırım and 1 manager of Pirnus Yapı were taken into custody.
5 NEW DETENTIONS, INCLUDING A FORMER MP
While detention procedures continued in the investigation, 5 more people were caught.
Tera Holding Deputy General Manager Seda Tarım Kocabalkan, former MP Ertan Aydın, KUYAŞ Yatırım manager Abdullah Dal, and Hakan Eryılmaz and Fahri Uğur were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, 12 of the 31 suspects taken into custody the previous day were arrested by the court they were brought before.
