In a knife fight alleged to have broken out over a girl in the İnegöl district of Bursa, 18-year-old Emre Acar lost his life and 2 young people were injured. Suspect Yunus Emre U. (18) was detained at the hospital where he came to learn the condition of the friends he had injured; the knife considered to have been used in the incident was found in a trash can at the hospital entrance. In the knife fight that allegedly broke out over a girl in the İnegöl district of Bursa, 18-year-old Emre Acar lost his life while 2 people were injured. The suspect of the incident, Yunus Emre U. (18), was taken into custody at the hospital where he came to learn about the health condition of the friends he had wounded. It was learned that the suspect said in his statement at the police station, "I did not do it intentionally. I regret it." The suspect, whose procedures were completed, was referred to the courthouse.
The incident occurred on October 17, 2026, at around 22:00 on 2nd Varışlı Street in the Orhaniye Neighborhood of İnegöl. According to the allegation, an argument broke out among friends over a girl. When the argument escalated in a short time, Yunus Emre U., who became angry, wounded Emirhan D. (20), Ensar G. A. (16), and Emre Acar (18) in various parts of their bodies with the knife he had with him.
Following reports from nearby citizens, 112 Emergency Health teams and police were dispatched to the scene. The fight was ended by the teams' intervention, and the injured were taken to İnegöl State Hospital by private vehicles and ambulances and placed under treatment.
HE CAME TO THE HOSPITAL TO SEE THE FRIENDS HE STABBED
It was learned that the suspect of the incident, Yunus Emre U., came to İnegöl State Hospital in another vehicle to learn about the health condition of the friends he had stabbed. After the suspect, who was taken into custody by police teams at the hospital, confessed, the knife believed to have been used in the incident was found in a trash can at the hospital entrance.
HE SAID 'I REGRET IT' IN HIS STATEMENT
It was learned that Yunus Emre U., who gave a statement at the police station, said, "Two friends were arguing because of a girl. I also swung the knife in my hand left and right in a moment of anger. I did not do it intentionally. I regret it." The 18-year-old main suspect Yunus Emre U., whose questioning at the police station was completed, and 7 people involved in the incident were referred to the courthouse after their procedures.
HE WAS STABBED IN THE HEART AND BACK
Emre Acar, who was stabbed in the heart and back in the fight, could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions. The body of Acar, who lost his life at a young age, was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death after the prosecutor's examination. It was learned that Emre Acar's funeral will be buried in the rural Karalar Neighborhood Cemetery after the funeral prayer to be performed at Çinili Mosque today following the afternoon prayer.
