In simultaneous operations targeting the ISIS terrorist organization in 8 provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, 39 suspects were detained. During searches at the suspects' addresses, a large number of weapons, ammunition, digital materials, and books considered to be banned publications were seized. After procedures at the police station, 22 of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested, while 17 were released under judicial control conditions.

Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police teams launched an operation targeting the DAESH terrorist organization. 

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION LAUNCHED IN 8 PROVINCES: 39 DETAINED

On October 6, teams carried out simultaneous operations in Kahramanmaraş, Istanbul, Ankara, Konya, Zonguldak, Adana, Hatay, and Gaziantep. During the raids, 39 people were detained. In searches conducted at the addresses, 34 mobile phones, 33 SIM cards, 8 laptops, 4 tablets, 1 notebook computer, 1 computer tower, 3 hard drives, 5 memory cards, 2 USB flash drives, 13 notebooks, 84 books assessed to be prohibited publications, 5 handguns, 251 firearm cartridges, 6 shotguns, 123 shotgun shells, 2 swords, and 2 knives were seized.

22 OF THE SUSPECTS REMANDED IN CUSTODY

Those captured in other provinces were brought to Kahramanmaraş and taken for questioning at the Anti-Terror Branch Directorate. After their procedures at the police station, 39 people were referred to the courthouse. While 22 of the suspects were remanded in custody, 17 were released under a judicial control decision.
