24 kilograms 600 grams of skunk were seized in the driver's cabin of a truck stopped by narcotics police in Adana. It was learned that the detained driver defended himself in his statement at the police station by saying, 'I bought it to smoke.'
The Adana Provincial Police Department Narcotics Crime Prevention Branch Office took action upon receiving a tip that drugs would be transported into the city by truck. The truck, placed under surveillance, was stopped by police teams at the city entrance. During a detailed search conducted after the narcotics detector dog reacted to the truck's driver cabin, 24 kilograms and 600 grams of skunk substance hidden in black bags were seized. Regarding the confiscated drugs, the driver A.C.K. and the passenger Ş.Ç. were taken into custody.
"I TOOK IT TO DRINK"
During the police interrogation, it was learned that Ş.Ç. claimed, "I had no knowledge of the drugs," while the driver A.C.K. defended himself by saying, "I took it to drink."
SUSPECTS REFERRED TO COURT
After the police procedures, among the suspects referred to the courthouse, A.C.K. was arrested by the court, while Ş.Ç. was released under judicial control.
