In the drug investigation targeting celebrities in Istanbul, detention orders have been issued for 25 celebrities. Fourteen individuals, including Mabel Matiz and Feyza Civelek, have been detained so far. Arrest warrants have been issued for names such as Serenay Sarıkaya, Berkay Şahin, Tan Taşçı, Yağmur Ünal, and Mirgün Sırrı Cabas. In a statement from the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the celebrities are accused of using and purchasing drugs.
A new operation has been carried out in the 'drug' investigation targeting celebrities. Within the scope of the operation, 14 people were detained, while arrest warrants were issued for 11 celebrities who are abroad and could not be found at their addresses.
CHARGE: PURCHASING AND USING DRUGS
In a statement from the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the operation, it was said: "Within the scope of the fight against drugs that threaten public health and safety, in the investigations conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, through recent operations carried out by our law enforcement forces and reflected in the public, on one hand, a high amount of cocaine that was attempted to be brought into our country from abroad by sea was seized before reaching land; on the other hand, drug manufacturing sites were identified, many drug dealers were arrested in different districts of Istanbul, and the seized drugs and other criminal items were confiscated. In another investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting individuals who facilitate drug use, provide venues, and use drugs, as well as those involved in drug trafficking and manufacturing, based on the evidence obtained, instructions were given to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command on 21/05/2026 to detain, search, conduct biological examinations, and take statements regarding 25 suspects. Respectfully announced to the public."
14 PEOPLE DETAINED
During the operation, searches were carried out at the addresses, and it was learned that among those detained were Mabel Matiz (Fatih Karaca), Feyza Civelek, Volkan Bahçekapılı, Onur Tuna, Osman Haktan Canevi, Aslıhan Turanlı, Kübra İmren Siyahdemir, Mehmet Rahşan, Cansu Tekin, Özgür Deniz Cellat, Tarık Tunca Bakır, Aycan Yağcı, Tuğçe Postoğlu, and Eda Dora.
