Holidaymakers staying at a luxury hotel in Kuşadası, Aydın's favorite holiday resort, experienced a nightmare. 30 people staying at a 5-star facility in Karaova Mahallesi fell ill with complaints of nausea and severe abdominal pain. Upon notification, numerous health teams were dispatched to the hotel, and 28 people were taken to the hospital by ambulances under suspicion of poisoning for treatment.

Vacationers staying at a 5-star hotel in Kuşadası, Aydın, were hospitalized on suspicion of poisoning. 30 people staying at the luxury hotel in Karaova Mahallesi began experiencing sudden nausea, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain. As the situation worsened, the hotel management and other vacationers reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

28 PEOPLE WERE TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITALS BY AMBULANCE

Following the report, numerous medical teams were dispatched to the hotel. After initial on-site interventions, 28 of the affected vacationers were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance for treatment. It was learned that the health conditions of those hospitalized are being monitored.

Official authorities quickly took action to determine whether the mass illness was due to food- or waterborne poisoning. Teams from the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the District Health Directorate launched a comprehensive investigation at the hotel. Expert teams collected detailed samples from the food served to the hotel guests and the facility's water supply for laboratory analysis.

The exact cause of the incident will be clarified after laboratory analyses are completed. Police teams have also launched a broad investigation into the suspected mass poisoning.
