Haluk Levent, who was blocked from accessing his X account, issued a statement on his social media account. While Levent admitted to conducting irregular transactions due to personal debts and gambling addiction, he claimed that donations made to the Ahbap Association were not used for purposes other than intended. Levent also acknowledged that over the past year, he engaged in improper borrowing within the association due to his personal debts.

Haluk Levent, whose X account was blocked, published a striking statement titled "Before Farewell" and "Last Letter-Farewell" on his social media account before his account was closed. In a comprehensive 5-page defense regarding the allegations against him, Levent admitted to falling into heavy debt due to gambling addiction and making irregular borrowings, while firmly rejecting the accusations related to donations made to the Ahbap Association.

CONFESSED GAMBLING ADDICTION

In his post, Haluk Levent stated that he has been struggling with gambling addiction for years and expressed that this addiction is at the core of his financial difficulties. Levent, who recounted borrowing from many people and sometimes resorting to new debts to pay off his existing ones, said, "I am not a fraudster. Gambling is a very bad disease. I hope children learn from my life."

Levent, describing himself as "not a good enough person," stated that due to his mistakes in the past year, he has disappointed both his family and those around him.

"I DID NOT BETRAY AHBAP DONATIONS"

Haluk Levent also responded to the accusations against the Ahbap Association in his statement. Levent, who claimed he did not steal a single penny from the donations made to the association, admitted to making irregular borrowings within the association due to his personal debts.

Levent said, "Judge me for my creditors, my debts, and upsetting people. But never judge me for the Ahbap Association donations. Not even 1 TL from the earthquake period was stolen."

CALLED ON MASAK

In his statement, Levent also addressed the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK), requesting an examination of his account activities between 2017 and 2026. Claiming to have made hundreds of millions of liras in aid from his own pocket, Levent asserted that he has supported many families in need and covered the education and accommodation expenses of child victims of violence for years.

SAID "I BORROWED IRREGULARLY"

Levent admitted to making irregular borrowings within the Ahbap Association, arguing that he planned to repay them before audits. In his statement, he claimed to have prepared gold, real estate, and cash resources to pay off his debts, which could be verified through MASAK records and bank transactions.
